Here’s What’s Taking Shape Inside the Museum

June 11, 2018 | Authored by Robyn Small

With Grand Opening events set for October, the Museum has started to install its first exhibit pieces. In early May, the exhibit fabrication team began installing framework and fabrication on the Take the Case exhibit gallery. A couple of weeks later, one of the finished column displays was delivered. The fabricators also began installation of the brickwork and theming on the northern wall, building out the SWAT exhibit. The beautiful wood ceiling inside the Main Theater was also installed last month, and work began on the Museum’s Hall of Remembrance. The escalators are now fully installed and functioning. Crews started installing some interior stone work and the terrazzo interior staircases. All in all, interior work is progressing nicely as we sprint towards our October grand opening celebrations.
