The Web of Law Enforcement

July 10, 2018 | Authored by

The exhibit entitled To Serve and Protect will feature the Web of Law Enforcement, a large, multi-touch screen experience. The Web of Law Enforcement illustrates the complex network of some 18,000 law enforcement agencies around the country at the local, state and federal levels that must work together to keep citizens and communities safe. Visitors can select a crime, which will reveal how many agencies, illustrated by graphic bubbles, are connected to that case, and allow them to learn what happened, step by step. Multiple visitors can interact with the Web at the same time, sharing and passing bubbles to each other, and they can search for crimes from their region of the country. Visitors can also just stand back and watch the interplay of the dynamic web of law enforcement agencies interact and respond to dozens of crimes.
