Would you like to donate your time for a great cause? Want to share your expertise with others? The National Law Enforcement Museum offers several volunteer opportunities to fit your experience and schedule: Visitor Experience Volunteers, Event Volunteers, Volunteer Educators.

Visitor Experience Volunteers welcome guests, provide general information about the Museum, and help visitors plan their journey through the exhibits.

Event Volunteers help with special events, such as National Police Week and our Run for the Badge 5K, along with many other special events held on behalf of the Museum. Responsibilities may include participant registration, ticket and retail sales, along with event set up and breakdown.

Volunteer Educators help lead high-quality, visitor-centered tours of the Museum’s collections and exhibits. Tours may be comprised of children, adults, or visitors with special needs. Volunteer Educators also assist with classroom activities, traveling workshops, and off-site presentations.

Are you a current or former law enforcement officer? We have important volunteer opportunities for you, too. Law Enforcement Volunteers share their expertise with visitors and help them see what walking in the shoes of an officer is really like. Our Law Enforcement Volunteers also engage audiences in thought-provoking and insightful Museum programs.

Additionally, Behind-the-Scene Volunteers are needed to help catalog and photograph Museum artifacts, assist with presentation preparations, and special projects. Our Membership and Development teams also welcome volunteers to help with membership and fundraising support. Learn more about Museum volunteer opportunities and complete an application
