Special Agent Stockham was the supervisor for the FBI Laboratory Division hazardous materials response team at the United Flight 93 crash site in Shanksville, Pennsylvania in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Agent Stockham died of colon cancer on October 8, 2016.
