Planning Your Field Trip

Arrival

The Museum is conveniently located at the Judiciary Square metro station on the Red Line. The Museum is also accessible by bus. Buses should drop off students at 5th and E Street NW, Washington DC. The Museum does not provide bus parking. Students should leave backpacks and bags on the bus if possible to move through security quickly. If students wish to bring lunch and/or jackets, they can be stored by Museum staff upon arrival.

Qualifying School Districts for Free Admission

Title I and Title I Targeted Assistance Schools from the following school districts qualify for free admission to the Museum.

Washington, D.C.
Maryland: Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Charles County, Frederick County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, St. Mary’s County

Virginia: Arlington County, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Stafford County, City of Alexandria, City of Falls Church, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park

Complimentary Planning Tours for Educators

Complimentary planning visits led by our Museum educators are a great way to explore the Museum before bringing your students! Email education@nleomf.org to request your 45-minute tour today!

Chaperone Policy

Groups must have one adult chaperone for every 10 students visiting the Museum. Chaperones must stay with their assigned students for all tours and workshops.

Lunch

Boxed lunches are available for purchase when you book your visit.

Reservation

Group reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
