Hometown Heroes Adventure

Wolf Scouts will learn about how those in law enforcement careers help their communities, from patrol officers to K-9s and dispatchers to detectives. Wolf Scouts will participate in hands-on activities from trying on a duty belt with a former officer to creating thank-you gift for their local police department. Wolf Scouts will also be able to explore the Museum’s Squad Car, K-9, and Tools of the Trade exhibits.

  • Age Range: Wolf Scouts (Grade 2)
  • Time: 90 minutes
  • Capacity: Min. 10 scouts – Max 30 scouts
  • Each workshop includes the official patch for each Scout in addition to a specially designed Museum patch

Forensics Adventure

Bear Scouts will learn how to identify their own fingerprints, try their hand at chromatography and toxicology, and make their own shoe imprint with materials Crime Scene Investigators use. Bear scouts can also learn how K-9 officers assist in investigations and hear the stories of real-life law enforcement officers.

  • Age Range: Bear Scouts (Grade 3)
  • Time: 120 minutes
  • Capacity: Min. 10 scouts – Max 30 scouts
  • Each workshop includes the official patch for each Scout in addition to a specially designed Museum patch
